Color Theory Project #2: Stained-Glass

Color Theory Project #2: Stained-Glass

Project Info: For this project we were supposed to make 2 designs (one that has 2 color usage and one that has 4 color usage) in a stained-glass inspired style. So I decided to go for something pretty simple for the 2 color design (moon & stars) and then I wanted to try something more complicated with the 4 color design (sushi & chopsticks).
Here's the process I went through for the 4 color design. I decided to do sushi because of the multiple elements that would be easy to color within the project. I sketched out the original concept art and then I used a technique of using clear with black paint mixed within it. This was the first time I attempted this and after letting it dry, it dripped too much into each other and it was really messy. I redid the drawing and decided to use a hot glue gun with black glue to get the black line effect which worked much better. I then used 4 different paints for the color.
Here is the finished product for the 4 color design.
